Fill White Neti Pot with warm, slightly salted water (¼ teaspoon of fine non-ionized salt). Use only distilled or sterile water. Lean over the sink, tilt head sideways and insert the Neti Pot’s spout into the upper nostril and begin pouring about ½ of the saline solution. The solution will flow through and stream out of the lower nostril. Breathe through your mouth. Repeat by changing nostrils.
It might take a couple of tries before perfecting the art of “jala neti”. Be patient, it will be well worth it.
Wash your Neti pot thoroughly after each use. Use distilled water. If not available sterilize tap water by boiling for 5 minutes. Allow to cool before using. Do not share Neti Pot with others.
